Alcohol is best known as a cause of cirrhosis, a disease of the liver. It is also a major cause of
deaths and injuries due to accidents. It can have severe effects on a baby during pregnancy.
It can also cause stomach pain due to a bleeding ulcer or irritated stomach lining.

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms range from mild shakiness and sweats to hallucinations and the worst form of withdrawal called "DTs" (delirium tremens). Withdrawal symptoms rarely occur in
people who only drink alcohol occasionally.

Drug Treatments for Opiate Addiction and/or drug overdose

Buprenorphine is a synthetic opiate agonist medication that has recently been approved by the
FDA for treatment of opiate addiction. However because of its opioid agonist effects,
buprenorphine is also in itself open to abuse, particularly by individuals who are not physically dependent on opioids.

Naloxone is an opioid antagonist, it reverses the effects of narcotic drugs. Naloxone may also
be used in the treatment of narcotic drug overdose or to diagnosis suspected narcotic addiction.

Naloxone Injection (0.4mg IM) available from Gold Pharma - International Delivery

Naltrexone is a specific opioid antagonist with actions similar to those of naloxone, however,
it is more potent than naloxone and has a longer duration of action. Once a negative naloxone
challenge test has been obtained, naltrexone hydrochloride is given by mouth to maintain
abstinence. Naltrexone is a long-acting, non-addictive oral opioid antagonist.
Although it can be effective in maintaining abstinence in opioid addicts following detoxification,
compliance with therapy is difficult to maintain because although it blocks the euphoriant effects
of opioids it does not block the craving for narcotics
. It is thus most effective in highly motivated
addicts with good sociological and psychological support to discourage impulsive use of opioids.

Naltrexone will cause withdrawal symptoms in people who are physically dependent on
narcotics. Therefore, naltrexone treatment is started after the addicted person is no longer dependent on narcotics. Naltrexone can be ordered below with no prescription needed.
